So the current plan is to wait until WordPress 1.1 is out, and use that (specifically the smarty templates and sub-category features) to handle most everything this site. The idea is to keep nearly everything but the images in the database, and use the CMS features to keep track of it all. But — and there’s always a but — it’s not out yet, so I’m kinda stuck for now.
Maybe there’s an easier route, but I’m not too sure what that could be yet, since I haven’t messed with real web design in years, and I’ve never messed with PHP/SQL before.

Thanks for pointing to WordPress. Nice CMS. I may implement it on the Dept of Communication site, where I’m just faking it with Blogger right now.
