Will The Fetus Be Aborted

Saturday, around 11pm:

Roommate (cleaning his room with the lights off): “Fuck! Why does it have to be so dark!?”

Me (chuckling at the opportunity): “Why curse the darkness when you can turn on a light?”

Over the weekend I converted the docs for FUSA in CVS to use gnome-doc-utils, and fixed that nagging bug from last time.

I’m also 25 now. Dum. Dum. Dum. Another one bites the dust…

Lastly, in honor of the upcoming Democratic rollover on Bush nominee John Roberts, I’ve been listening to an old favorite (don’t read that link if you’re easily offended… or at least, don’t complain if you do get offended, you were warned — actually, if you’re easily offended, don’t read the rest of this entry, either :-)).

Of course, John Roberts — like the conservatives on the USSC — won’t vote to overturn Roe v. Wade. They won’t overturn because the Republican Party doesn’t want to make an issue of that decision. They don’t want to make an issue out of abortion because two thirds of the population doesn’t want Roe v. Wade overturned.

But hey, they’re doing everything else in their power to give the people a reason to revolt, so they may very well be that stupid — what with congress pulling midnight deals to get CAFTA passed, after non-voting themselves pay raises for the sixth straight year.

[Insert rant here about the rank arrogance of a $162k/year representative — who’s given $70,000 golfing trips to Scotland by lobyists — bitching about “purchasing power” while the federal minimum wage continues to sit at $5.15/hr, having lost 18% of it’s value since they raised it in 1997, and 42% of it’s value since it’s peak of $8.73 (in today’s dollars) in 1968.]

  1. The population wanted it, so they should be right:

[Nazi program for restricting rights of Jews went here, which I’m not going to have on my site, for any reason — Jim]
