A little tip for those tagging music, particularly on last.fm:
In order for it to be “indie pop”, it has to be both “pop” and “indie”, not “shit I like” or just simply “pop”. In order for it to be “indie pop”, it must appear on an independent label, and/or not be played on the huge corporate radio outlets. In short, when I go to “Tracks tagged with indie pop” in last.fm, I don’t want to hear Oasis or fucking Modest Mouse anymore. I want to hear tracks I won’t hear on the radio, like Beulah or Camera Obscura.
That is all.
